As of July 10 at least 4,333 people were killed and 16,740 injured in the back-to-back quakes on 24 June 2026. Venezuela earthquake support through Alongside Hope via Humanitarian Coalition Deadline for government of Canada matching grant is July 14. 

You can give online, on the phone by calling 1-866-308-7973 or by mail. Please send your cheque to Alongside Hope, 80 Hayden Street, Toronto, ON, M4Y 3G2, indicating “Venezuela” in the notes. Mailing a cheque however will not reach them in time to qualify for the matching grant.

We are so excited!

Earlier this year Robert and Judy Fyles were interviewed by a journalist associated with Broadview Magazine. It was for their "small church" issue to be published for September/October 2026. We have confirmation that St. Columba's Church will be one of the featured small churches in the issue. While we don't know the details, much of our conversation was around our Indigenous outreach morning sanctuary program. The deadline to order extra print copies has passed but we have ordered a few extra, available for $5, arriving in a few weeks. You can also soon order a digital copy directly from Broadview through their Spotify link here for $6.99. 

Camp Spirit is being held at St. Columba's Church July 28 to 31, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Yes it starts on Tuesday of the week, due to the late arrival of the ferry on Monday morning. The camp is FREE though paying the fee, or part of it, is always welcome and appreciated. Campers ages 6 (or finished Kindergarten) to 11 are all welcome. Registration will remain open if there are still spaces available.
