Join us this Sunday afternoon as Rev. Sheila Cook leads us in worship which will include Anglican Communion. Note that the service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM as Sheila is also leading worship in ‘Yalis (Alert Bay) in the morning. Everyone is welcome.

Fellowship and coffee/tea will be available after the service.

The folks at St. John Gualbert church are hosting a potluck/barbeque with special guest United Church of Canada Moderator Carmen Lansdowne. The invitation has been sent to the other United shared ministry churches on the North Island. Note that there is a typo for the church address which is 175 Cedar Street in Port McNeill. Event is Sunday July 27 starting at 5:00 PM until about 7:30 PM. Even if you aren't able to come right at 5 PM for dinner, you are welcome to come a bit later and listen and talk to Carmen. She will be speaking about the past, present and  future of the United Church especially around the themes of resiliance and hope. This may be one of the last events she will be attending as her term as moderator of the United Church of Canada ends in just a few weeks as theelection takes place August 9.

At the beginning of August Judy will be submitting an order for 2026 Canadian (Anglican) Church calendars. Unfortunately the shipping costs for United Church calendars are cost prohibitive (more than the calendar itself).  If you would like one, please phone or talk to her by August 3. The cost will stay at $10.00 if I order at the beginning of August. 

Camp Spirit is being held at St. Columba's Church August 4 to 7, 2025, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Yes it starts on the holiday Monday. The camp is FREE though paying the fee is always welcome. Register locally by text or phone at 250-230-2395 at the website noted on the photo or directly by phoning 1-800-934-0434, Extension 6403. Includes t-shirt, snacks and lunch.

Campers ages 6 (or finished Kindergarten) to 11 are all welcome. Registration will remain open if there are still spaces available.
