Christine Muise joined us in August 2021. She most recently was a priest in Parksville and previously worked in the Diocese of Kootenay. She has a passion for gymnastics and aquatic sports and worked as a lifegard and instructor along with her work as a priest. Please feel free to contact her as she settles into Port Hardy and to St. Columba's Church (and St. John's in Port Alice).
The Diocese of British Columbia acknowledges that for thousands of years the Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth, and Kwakwaka’wakw peoples have walked gently on the unceded territories where we now live, work, worship, and play. We seek a new relationship with the first peoples here, one based in honour and respect, and we thank them for their hospitality.
The church building has limited access due to COVID-19. Regular office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Drop-ins will need to ring the door bell(s) to gain access.
We thank you for registering to attend in-person worship at St. Columba's Port Hardy. A reminder that, at this time, people are respectfully asked to worship via our online option if they are unvaccinated, though we are not checking proof of vaccination at worship services. We also ask everyone to evaluate their current health status using provincial guidelines each time they arrive at the church and wear a mask at all times in the building.
