Bishop Logan's Retirement Party and Optional Bishop's Purse

RETIREMENT EVENT FOR BISHOP LOGAN – Join the diocese of islands and inlets on October 23 at 7:00pm for a special video event in celebration of Bishop Logan McMenamie’s ministry. With +Logan as our special live guest, we’ll take everyone on a journey that will include photos, music, special messages from all over the diocese, and live-streamed presentations. The event will be viewable on the diocesan website, Vimeo, and Facebook Live, simultaneously. All you need to do is find a comfortable viewing location, pour yourself a beverage, and click the link at 7:00 pm on October 23. At St. Columba's we will be opening the sanctuary just before 7:00 PM that evening so that those with no internet or online access can view the event in a small group setting using our big screen TV.

BISHOP’S PURSE – As is customary in the Anglican church, we are collecting a “purse” to express our gratitude to Bishop Logan for his years of dedicated ministry. Per CRA regulations, contributions to the purse are a personal gift to +Logan; a tax receipt will not be issued for any amount. Cheques must be written to “Logan McMenamie.” All cheques can be mailed to the synod office (Diocese of BC 900 Vancouver St, Victoria, BC V8V 3V7) and must be received before October 16, 2020.

At St. Columba's, we are taking a cash collection until October 4 if you don't wish to mail a cheque. Please drop cash off at the church office during office hours (Monday to Wednesday mornings) or give to Judy Fyles on Sunday.
