Hello folks

We have been approved by both the Anglican Diocese and United Church region to open the church for Sunday worship on a limited basis starting on Sunday, July 12. There is a limit of 22 worshipers in the sanctuary along with Rev. Alastair and our organist Roldan.

There are a number of regulations that we will need to abide by. Many of them you may now be familiar with:

  • no entry if you are sick in any way
  • maintain safe distancing of 2 meters
  • use of hand sanitizer or washing of hands is required upon entry
  • no hugs or handshakes
  • you may wear a mask, but it is not mandatory at this time

Other regulations are specific to worship and church use:

  • no congregational singing at this time but you may hum along (there will be a soloist or duo)
  • chair seating only (do not move the chair you choose without permission)
  • there will be no Sunday school for children, they must stay with their family (coloring or quiet toys are provided or bring your own)
  • if you use the washroom, please use the supplies and posted cleaning procedures
  • the kitchen is closed, there will be no coffee hour or lunch
  • visiting after the service can take place outside in the parking lot

We will not be having eucharist/communion during the summer but are planning modified serving to start in September.

The service will continue to be recorded as has been happening since we closed in March. For now it will be posted soon after the in-person service, around noon each Sunday. Plans are underway to hopefully have a fully live stream service available on Sundays.

For more information contact Rev. Alastair or Robert/Judy Fyles.
